Numeric Pager Parameters Setting Phone # (up to 16 digits) Pause After Dial 0 to 120 seconds Description This is the phone number that is dialed to access the numeric pager. This is the normal # that you give a person when you want to have them page you. This is the delay in seconds after the phone number is dialed before proceeding. This compensates for the time it takes for the page company to answer and possibly play a greeting or instructional message. For typical numeric only pagers, a value of 3 to 8 seconds will function properly. Remember that the # of rings before the system will answer can vary from time to time. This is also useful if your system has a voice prompt and requires you to enter several selections to send a page. You may insert 2-second-pauses between digits in the PIN number using one of the wash buttons. If your system requires you to enter a series of options to send the message or set the priority, then add those here. The termination characters will be sent after the numeric message is sent. For example, if you have to press # when finished, and then you have to press 1 to send the page, you would enter: #, 1 The comma will add a 2 second pause after the # key. Pin # (up to 16 digits) Termination Characters (up to 10 digits) Use the following procedure to program or edit the pager number: 1. Using the toggle switch at the top of the CPU board, place the Wash Select II in setup mode by moving the switch toward the back of the Wash Select II case. (The CPU board is located on the inside right wall of the Wash Select II case. ) 2. Using the (3) key to scroll forward and the (1) key to scroll back, scroll through the main menu until the "Paging Functions" option is displayed. Scroll through this menu until the "Edit Pager #" option is displayed, and then press the (*) key to enter. 4. Enter the pager's telephone number including the area code; if it is necessary for the modem to dial a 1 you must enter that as well.
